During Women's History Month we're celebrating the impact of women from New Jersey who’ve helped shape history.
🏅From Maplewood, Ibtihaj Muhammad was the first American Olympian to compete wearing her hijab, honoring her cultural and religious beliefs, competing at the top of her sport, and serving as a role model for other American Muslim women and girls.
She also brought home the bronze in the women’s team sabre competition!
Thank you to the New Jersey Association of Counties for highlighting our statewide network of culturally specific programs through the Division on Women to support DV survivors from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
