Today, Capital K-9 President, Sallah "Sal" Khan, alongside our friend and long time supporter, Carie McCay, proudly presented newest K9, K9 Tyr (and his partner- K9 Handler Matt Kline) his ballistic vest!

The vest purchase was made possible thanks to the continued support from Carie McCay and her incredible fundraising efforts! Thank you, Carie!! We really appreciate you 🙏🏽

K9 Pepper and K9 Handler Joe Peters (Capital K-9 Vice-President) had the chance to travel to NYC and speak with in regards to K9 Safety and the K9 Memorial during Police Week 2026. What an amazing opportunity for this team, and we are proud of them for their accomplishments!

On May 4th, 2011, Capital K-9 Association was founded with a simple but powerful mission: protect the K9s who protect us.

Today, 15 years later, we’ve proudly helped protect over 170 Police K9s across the country with life-saving equipment.

Every ballistic vest. Every Heat alarm/Hot-N-Pop. Every donation. It all adds up to giving these K9 a safer chance to come home.

To our supporters, partners, and community... thank you for being part of this mission.
