We couldn't let the year come to a close without one more standing ovation for our Foundation Academies Varsity Girls Flag Football team! 🏈 🎉⚡

In their inaugural season, these young Knights made HERstory, capturing the Penn Jersey Athletic Association Conference Championship and proving what is possible through hard work, resilience, and teamwork. ⚔️🏆

As we close out an unforgettable year in FA Athletics, we celebrate these trailblazers and all they accomplished. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. 💙💛

🎓✨ Honoring a Journey of Dedication and Success ✨🎓

Nice and loud for our newest members of the Foundation Academies Collegiate National Honor Society!

At this week's National Honor Society Induction Ceremony, FA Collegiate scholars were recognized for embodying the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

Surrounded by family, friends, educators, and supporters, the evening featured a moving candle-lighting ceremony where scholars reflected on their journeys and expressed gratitude for the people who have supported them along the way. The evening also included a special pinning ceremony led by Foundation Academies NHS alumni, symbolizing their commitment to excellence and service.

Through heartfelt speeches and inspiring reflections, our scholars reminded us that excellence is about more than achievement—it's about using your gifts to serve others, leading with integrity, and pursuing lifelong learning.

A special thank you to NHS Advisor Ms. Anzures for her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping our scholars reach this important milestone.

🎓✨ Bright Futures Ahead!

Last week, we celebrated one of our most cherished Foundation Academies traditions: Senior Signing Day. Surrounded by family, friends, educators, and supporters, the Class of 2026 proudly shared their next steps forward on their path to purpose.

We were honored to recognize recipients of the Switlik Award, Universal Display Corporation Scholarship, Division of Vocational and Rehabilitation Services Awards, McNichol Scholarship for Communication, BSU Senior Legacy Scholarship, Special Guest Scholarship, Round Table Scholarship, Ronald C. Brady Award, Artisan Award, and the Greg Weiss Alumni Changemaker Award.

This remarkable class earned 100% college acceptance for seniors pursuing higher education, submitted 817 applications to 172 colleges, and secured more than $18 million in scholarships—with more to come from our partners at the Division of Vocational and Rehabilitation Services. These accomplishments reflect years of resilience, determination, and hard work, alongside the unwavering support of families, educators, and the entire FA community.

Congratulations to our newest Foundation Academies Middle School National Junior Honor Society inductees! We are incredibly proud of these scholars who have demonstrated a commitment to the five pillars of NJHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship.

Led by NJHS Advisor Ms. Brunson, the induction ceremony featured a meaningful candle-lighting tradition, with each candle representing one of the core values that guide these exceptional young leaders. Guests also heard inspiring remarks from inductee Jessica M., Foundation Academies CEO Sheria McRae, and FA Middle Principal Dr. Nock as they reflected on the responsibility and opportunity that come with this honor.

At Foundation Academies, we believe education has the power to transform lives, families, and ultimately our city. Today, we celebrate our FA Middle scholars who are leading the way and helping build a brighter future for our community.

🏀🔥 Season 3 of Junior Knights Basketball with the Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA (Jr. NBA) was our biggest season yet!

From exciting games and skill development to teamwork, confidence, and unforgettable memories, our young Knights showed incredible growth all season long. Programs like this are about so much more than basketball — they’re about creating pathways, building futures, and continuing to invest in the next generation of FA student-athletes. 💙💛

At Foundation Academies, athletic development doesn’t start at the high school level. We are committed to building the skills, fundamentals, character, and confidence of our Knights from an early age while creating opportunities for our scholars to grow both on and off the court.

The final game of the season was an incredible way to close out another amazing year of Junior Knights Basketball. A huge shoutout to our Assistant AD & Athletics Operations Manager Mr. Bush, to our dedicated coaches, and to Division 1 basketball player Erik Oliver-Bush for stopping by and putting on an exciting halftime dunk show for our scholars, families, and community!

Season 4 can’t come soon enough. ⚔️🏀

📚✨ Published & Proud ✨📚

What a powerful and unforgettable evening as our young authors took center stage for “Published & Proud: From the Classroom to the Barnes & Noble Stage.” Families, staff, and supporters gathered to celebrate a truly special milestone as Foundation Academies Elementary scholars officially became published authors. 🎉

Our K-4 scholars worked tirelessly to write and publish their very own short stories through our partnership with Studentreasures Publishing. Together, our scholars proudly celebrated the release of 10 NEW published titles — an incredible accomplishment that reflects their creativity, brilliance, imagination, and voice.

This celebration was about so much more than books. It was about identity, pride, representation, and possibility. Our Black and Brown scholars deserve to see themselves as authors, storytellers, creators, and leaders whose words matter and whose stories belong. Watching our scholars read, sign, and showcase their books inside Barnes & Noble made this moment even more meaningful as they experienced their work in the same type of space as the authors they admire. ❤️

A very special THANK YOU to FA Elementary Educator Mrs. Williams for bringing this beautiful vision to life and creating an opportunity our scholars and families will never forget. Your dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence continue to open doors and inspire confidence in our young scholars every single day.
