Santa Is beginning his route through Fire District 1!
Mission Fire Company visited Over The Rainbow, Sai Montessori School, and Youngster's University to teach the children fire safety. The firemen went over smoke detectors, stay low and go, having a meeting place, and stop drop and roll. The children also helped a firemen properly put on their gear and air pack, then they were able to dress up in children's fire gear. The visits ended with a tour of the fire truck and a group photo. Everyone enjoyed the visit, and thank you again for allowing us to pass on some fire safety!
Several members of Mission Fire Company attended and completed the Rope I class at the Camden County Fire Academy. The class teaches the basics of rope rescue, and provides the foundation to build upon with the advanced rope rescue classes.
