I-59 Northbound from the Exit 11 till Exit 17 is shutdown due to a sinkhole around the 15 mile marker. At this time we are unsure how long it will take to open the interstate back up. Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route North to I-24 and Tennessee.

The Trenton Police Department sends its prayers to our neighbors in Chickamauga. They lost a hero last night. Rest easy Officer Dunn, you will always be remembered.

Honoring Officer Charles “Chuck” Dunn

Tonight, the world lost a true hero. Officer Charles “Chuck” Dunn took his final walk, surrounded by love, before giving the ultimate gift—life to others through organ donation. Even in his passing, his selflessness continues, saving lives just as he always did in uniform.

Chuck was more than an officer. He was a friend, a protector, and a light in the lives of so many. His sense of humor could brighten the darkest days, his kindness knew no limits, and his love for people and animals alike made the world a better place.

There are no words to truly capture the loss we feel, but there is comfort in knowing that his impact will never fade. His laughter, his heart, and his unwavering dedication to others will live on in the lives he touched and the ones he now saves.

Rest easy, Chuck. Your watch may be over, but your legacy will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are heavy today as we lost one of our retired officers last night. Officer David Duvall served the citizens of Dade County for well over 30 years between the Dade County Sheriff’s Office and the Trenton Police Department. Officer Duvall joined our team in 2021 after retiring from the Sheriff’s Office after a decorated career and served the citizens of Trenton until late last year. Officer Duvall also served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Air Force reserves while serving as a deputy for the Sheriff’s Office.

If you would please keep his family in your prays. Thank you Officer Duvall for your dedication and service to Dade County. Rest easy brother, we got it from here.
