WATER TREATMENT FACILITY PROJECT

Construction has begun along Hwy 41 West in the Comfort area.

We will be upgrading our distribution system with a new 8" watermain, which will allow more of our P*e Dee aquifer source water to better migrate toward the eastern part of the County.

ATTENTION WATER CUSTOMERS

At approximately 3:30 pm today as part of our water treatment project, contractors began the filling / flushing process of a newly installed 10" watermain along Oak Grove Rd.

Unfortunately this process dropped water pressure for many of our customers along the eastern corridor of hwy 17 in pollocksville and surrounding areas.

PLEASE NOTE:
This brief drop in pressure is not related to any waterline break, nor does this process negatively compromise your water quality.

We have instructed the contractors to slow the filling / flushing process down in order for system pressure to equalize thus returning your water pressure back to normal as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to improve our overall water system for years to come.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly at (252) 675-2380.

Sincerely,

Mike Houston, UMC
Jones County Regional Water System Supervisor

WATER TREATMENT FACILITY PROJECT

Contractors are finishing up the main tie-in on our 10" distribution line at the intersection of Hwy 58 & Oak Grove Rd.
