A heartfelt thanks to the National Honor Society chapter at Notre Dame High School for their incredible generosity! 💙

We were honored to receive a $1,000 donation along with several boxes of much-needed school supplies and toiletry items to support the youth we serve. Gifts like these help provide essential resources, stability, and opportunities for young people facing homelessness and housing instability in our community.

We are grateful for your commitment to service and for choosing to support Anchor House's mission. Thank you for making a meaningful difference in the lives of local youth and helping us provide safety, support, and hope.

Sharing for our friends at the Kiwanis Club of Trenton, NJ. Learn more about Mercer County Executive Dan Benson’s vision for Trenton and the important work Kiwanis does in our community.

Mercer County Executive Dan Benson will discuss his vision for revitalizing Trenton at the next Kiwanis Club of Trenton program on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. All are welcome to attend the program, which begins at noon in Leonardo’s II Restaurant, 2021 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Please RSVP to [email protected] by June 2, 2026. Lunch will be available off the menu for $20.

In 2023, Dan was elected the first new Mercer County Executive in two decades, bringing a new spirit of collaboration, innovation, and transparency to County government. During his first two years in office he stabilized the County's finances, established new offices for Tourism, Food Security, and LGBTQIA+ Affairs, and attracted new investment to the community including the Trenton Ironhawks hockey team in Trenton and the new Children's Hospital of Philadelphia campus coming to Hamilton.

Founded in 1918, the Kiwanis Club’s programs have supported children’s services, community events and, since 1955, the Kiwanis Camp Fund, which has raised over $2 million for summer camp experiences for Trenton children. In addition to the ongoing Camp Fund, current Kiwanis initiatives include Heritage Week, a celebration of America’s 250th birthday with programming from July 4 – 8, 2026 as well as “Vision Trenton,” a collaborative community effort to stimulate economic redevelopment by promoting Trenton’s extensive historic assets. Visit https://www.trentonnj.org/832/Trenton-Heritage-Week for Heritage Week details.
For more information or to RSVP contact Mike McCormick at [email protected] or call (609) 208-9991.

May is the time of both Mother’s Day and Mental Health Awareness Month. Anchor House recognizes that it can be a difficult day for many reasons including loss or separation from a parent, strained relationships with family or those who are struggling as new or expectant moms.

In our programs, there has seen a significant increase in expectant and parenting youth over the years, particularly in our residential programs. Most of our youth have faced multiple traumas in their young lives. By providing expectant and parenting youth with counseling through our onsite Therapists or offsite for additional mental health services, and all of our staff trained in and providing Trauma Informed Care, these youth can begin to deal with trauma they faced in their childhood that might impact them parenting their children.

Learn more about our programs or make a donation at www.anchorhousenj.org. For mental health resources, visit 988lifeline.org.
