Gibson County Carl Perkins Center Our mission is to provide support to families in preventing & dealing with child abuse in West TN

The Center has numerous locations throughout West TN and three locations in Gibson County, with an office in Trenton, Humboldt and Milan. While the Center does work with an investigative team to intervene and stop abuse once it has occurred, its main focus is to prevent abuse from ever beginning. The Center educates the community on the problem of child abuse, its warning signs & symptoms, and how

individuals can help to break the cycle. The Center welcomes anyone who feels they need help in parenting, dealing with a difficult situation, or learning alternative methods of discipline.

Our Story

The Carl Perkins Center has numerous locations throughout WTN with three locations in Gibson County: Trenton, Humboldt, and Milan. Some of the families served by the Center are referred by the Dept. of Children's Services or other agencies. While the Center does work to intervene and stop abuse once it has occurred, its main focus is to prevent abuse from ever beginning. The Center is designed to educate the community on the problem of child abuse, its warning signs & symptoms, and how individuals can help to break the cycle. The Center welcomes anyone who feels they need help in parenting, dealing with a difficult situation, or learning alternative methods of discipline.
