What a fun afternoon we had today at the Gibson County Office on Aging! The ladies created super cute charcuterie flowerpots in this class using cheese, salami, cucumbers & mixed nuts!

Our FCS Agent, Deanna Poole taught the class with help from FCS Program Assistant, Michale K***z and 4-H Agent, Leigha Whitaker!

Yesterday afternoon, we had a wonderful time in the kitchen at our office during our Low-Sugar Jam Canning Class taught by our FCS Agent, Deanna Poole!

Participants learned safe canning techniques using a steam canner while making two delicious flavors — Strawberry Jam (using Green Acres Farm strawberries) and Apple Pie Jam. Everyone gained hands-on experience preserving fresh flavors with less sugar recipes.

A special thank you to Michale K***z, Gibson County FCS Program Assistant, and Tennille Short, Madison County FCS Agent, for their helping make the class a success!

This Gibson County Office on Aging group recently completed their Tai Chi for Arthritis classes with our FCS Agent, Deanna Poole! 🎉

Participants enjoyed learning gentle movements designed to improve balance, flexibility, strength, and overall wellness while having fun together each week. We are proud of everyone who participated and committed to improving their health and well-being.

Join us on June 11, 2026 from 5–8 p.m. for a fun and relaxing beginner basket-making class!

You’ll create your very own “country catch-all” 5-inch basket—perfect for keys, small items, or a handmade gift.
