We wrapped up summer camp with our annual Summer Fete. We did a color run, water games, fire truck spray, House competitions and plenty of Rita’s. Qilin House took the win for the day and racked up the most House points.

Thank you, kids, staff, and everybody who helped all summer. We had a blast! Enjoy your break. Can’t wait for next year’s Summer Fete. ✌️

Our students had an amazing experience at Johnson & Johnson’s Student Mentoring Day!

Students heard from speakers and panelists about exploring different career paths and the importance of building meaningful relationships. They also participated in a scavenger hunt and wrapped up the day practicing their golf skills at Topgolf.

We’re grateful to Johnson & Johnson Johnson & Johnson for giving our students the opportunity to learn, connect, and explore new possibilities!

Reflecting on last week’s My Brother’s Keeper Kick-Off, the energy and connection in the room illustrated the power of community.

Baseline surveys measured our young men’s initial sense of community belonging at 3.74 out of 5 upon arrival. Through structured peer and mentor engagement over the course of the event, guardians reported a +1.22 point increase, bringing the final sense of belonging score to 4.96 out of 5.

That reflection proves what happens when youth are surrounded by consistent, positive male leadership. The impact was clear: 100% of participating parents stated they would bring their child back for future MBK programming.

Our Gratitude
This work is only possible through collective action. Our sincere thanks to:
* Volunteers & Mentors: To the Notre Dame Football team, thank you for your presence, high energy, and genuine care for our boys.

* Collegiate Partners: Thank you to Princeton Athletics. We extend our deepest gratitude to Miles Smith Jr., Associate Director of Athletics for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, for his steadfast ambassadorship and advocacy. We also thank head men’s soccer coach Jim Barlow for his presence, support, and ongoing commitment to our youth and community.

* Hands-On Learning: Special thanks to the Rutgers 4-H Youth Development Club for donating the materials that made our competitive STEAM activity such a joyful, hands-on experience.

* Community Organizations: Gratitude to Visionary Philanthropy Group CEO Nyene Baker, Sankofa Educational Consulting’s Dr. Charisse Smith, Shane West at West Point Training, Isaiah Coleman with The Connected, Michael Alfaro and the Men’s Group at Christina Seix Academy, and the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Christina Seix Academy was proud to partner with local community organizations, schools, universities, and dedicated volunteers to launch My Brother’s Keeper Trenton. My Brother's Keeper Alliance

Together, we created an experience that harnessed the natural energy, curiosity, and healthy competitive spirit of young boys through basketball, football, mentorship, and hands on STEAM activities. Throughout the day, students challenged themselves, built confidence, formed meaningful relationships, and explored new ideas in a fun environment.

The day also highlighted the incredible impact of positive male role models and the power of partnership in creating opportunities for young people to thrive.

As a proud Backbone Organization for My Brother’s Keeper Trenton, we look forward to continuing to bring together partners, educators, mentors, and advocates who are committed to ensuring young Black and Brown boys have every opportunity to dream without limits and reach their fullest potential.

Thank you to every organization, volunteer, mentor, and supporter who made this launch possible.
