MTT Ambulance is seeking an EMT-B who is empathetic, organized, and passionate about helping individuals. The Emergency Medical Technician field provider is responsible for the direction of patient care while operating in non-emergency and /or emergency modalities as a rescue unit in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and directives.
The EMT-B leads, directs, and participates in the delivery of basic life support and participates in the delivery of advanced life support in a pre-hospital or facility situation. When operating as attendant-in-charge, the EMT-B provides direction to other crew members on patient care and medical issues. The EMT-B delivers emergency medical care to patients as indicated by medical control or patient care protocols.
Bonus paid out in thirds after you first six weeks you will receive $325.00 Then at 12 weeks and again at 24.
Required Qualifications
Emergency Medical Technician Certification
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate with poor, vulnerable, and addicted populations
Ability to operate a computer, fax machine, and multi-line phone
Pass a NJ State Criminal Background check
Must have a valid NJ State driver's license with a clean driving record with no moving infractions that will influence commercial auto insurance rates, personal car insurance, and own a vehicle
Willing to transport patients
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to learn and utilize health management information software
Knowledge of community resources
Knowledge of the use of motivational interviewing techniques
Experience working in an emergency department and working with prehospital emergency medical services
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $14.50 to $16.00 /hour
