Today in Newark people power beat back Millions of Dollars in late money that poured in from special interests backing Shavar Jeffries. 79 Local Unions and 30 International Unions put out over 2,200 volunteers on the ground knocking doors and making calls encouraging people to Vote today in Newark. Those volunteers helped Elect Ras Baraka for Mayor and Eddie Osborne, Louis Quintana and Mildred Crump At-Large.

We would like to congratulate Ras, Eddie, Louie and Mildred as well as thank each and every volunteer who sacrificed their personal time to fight for working families in Newark.
