There's power in numbers. 💪
Over 100 volunteers, ages 5-80+, showed up to pull over 1,600 pounds of trash from the Abbott Marshlands including 96 bags of trash, 13 tires, 3 cinderblocks, 1 55-gal drum, 1/2 of a shopping cart, and a number of miscellaneous items. 🗑

We are extremely grateful for our incredible volunteers and groups for your hard work, dedication and support! This clean up would not have been possible without Carly DeGirolamo, Watershed Ambassador for WMA #20 (AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program). Thank you to Kelly Rypkema and naturalists at the Tulpehaking Nature Center for providing a welcoming space to organize and greet volunteers. Finally, we'd like to thank the Mercer County Park Commission and the Mercer County Improvement Authority for providing supplies and removing all of the collected trash.
