Dear Family/Guardian,
We are excited to introduce the Safe NJ app – a 24/7 support system for students, families, and school employees.
The Safe NJ app empowers every member of our school community to seek support whenever they need it, while remaining completely anonymous!
Whether it's a student battling bullying, a family in need of food or shelter, a school employee feeling overwhelmed, or anyone facing a personal challenge – Safe NJ is here to support us.
This innovative program provides schools and students with critical tools to enhance safety and wellness, including:
• Anonymous Student Reporting: A safe, secure platform for students to report concerns such as bullying, threats, or personal struggles, fostering a proactive approach to safety and intervention.
• Immediate Crisis Support: New Jersey students will have direct access to licensed New Jersey-based mental health counselors through the 2nd Floor Youth Helpline. This ensures they receive immediate and professional support from individuals who understand the unique challenges and resources within the state.
• Access to School & Community Resources: The program is designed to seamlessly connect students and families with vital school and community resources including basic needs, ensuring timely and effective support tailored to New Jersey communities.

We kindly urge all parents to download the app. Safe NJ is not only a support system for your children, but also for YOU.

Getting Started with Safe NJ:
1. Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Select your school from the dropdown menu or enter the code provided by the school.
3. Accept the Terms & Conditions.

Good Evening Parents,

Thank you for your patience as Building Administration worked to support a remedy for the halt in Positive Impact afterschool programming. As of this evening, programming can resume at Dunn Middle School.

This is an urgent message regarding the Positive Impact afterschool program.

If your child attends the Positive Impact afterschool program offered by Children's Home Society at Dunn Middle School, the program has been administratively canceled until further notice. This DOES NOT include the Afterschool Success Program managed by Dunn School staff that operates from 2:30-3:30pm. All families will be notified immediately, should programming resume. It is best to make alternative plans for childcare for the remainder of this week.

Our 2026 Positive Youth Co-Ed Winter Basketball League registrations are now open!!

📍Sam Naples Community Center (611 Chestnut Ave)
🏃‍➡️Ages 6-7, 8-9
🗓️Saturdays, Jan. 10 - Mar. 14, 9:00AM - 1:00PM

📍West Ward Recreation Center (351 Prospect Street)
🏃‍♀️‍➡️Ages 10-11, 12-13, 14-15
🗓️Saturdays, Jan. 3 - Mar. 28, 9:00AM - 3:00PM

League registration ends December 29th, please pick up a registration form at your corresponding center. All skills are welcome.

Open Gym will be on Sundays only at BOTH centers this season starting Jan. 4 - Mar. 29. Youth will play from 1:00PM - 3:00PM and adults from 3:00PM - 6:00PM.
