Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, worked to insure the safety of our participants, those who sponsored and those responsible for coordinating the 10th Annual Wenonah Turkey Trot to benefit CHSofNJ, especially Jenn Pizi and Tamar Shelov and the Woman's Club of Wenonah! As we head into a holiday that celebrates thankfulness, we want to thank all of you--our donors, volunteers, Board members and employees for making life better and in some cases, making life possible, for the children and families in the communities we serve throughout New Jersey. Your support and resources make all the difference in the world to children like Elora and her Mom.

Elora’s mom was concerned that her vivacious 2-year-old wasn’t speaking yet. After connecting with a CHSofNJ Family Engagement Specialist, Elora’s mom agreed to an Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3) developmental screening. The results revealed a communication delay, leading to Early Intervention speech services for Elora.

Thanks to CHSofNJ's intervention and advocacy, Elora is now receiving the support she needs to reach her full potential.

On National Adoption Day, CHS of NJ adoptees joined together to create Welcome Baskets for children joining their forever families in Burlington and Mercer Counties. 💙 Led by Senior Girl Scout Loren Ross as part of her inspiring Gold Award project, this initiative gave teens a chance to give back, build a strong sense of community, and show each child they’re warmly welcomed. These baskets are a small gesture with a big message: You are loved, and you belong.

At last night's Eagles game, CHSofNJ was in the house to represent!! Thanks to Insurance Companies, Adoption Program Director, Valerie Fiorentino, was invited to the playing field to wave at fans just before kick-off and our logo, mission and photos were shared in Gameday magazine as well as on the stadium's digital scoreboards! We are grateful for this opportunity to raise awareness of adoption, especially during National Adoption Awareness Month!

It was a night filled with joy, community spirit and an inspired performance by the students of the Trenton Education Dance Institute (TEDI)! Thank you to all who supported last night's TEDI Fall Fundraiser and whose generous contributions make it possible for this transformative program, now in its 36th year, to keep on going strong. Join us on Friday, Nov. 29th for the 10th Annual Wenonah Turkey Trot to benefit CHSofNJ and waddle off those Thanksgiving pounds!
The Wenonah Turkey Trot is run on the tree-lined roads of historic Wenonah, NJ. It is 5k (3.1 miles) long with a 1 mile walking course included. Our course is USATF certified as has chip timing.
This is a lovely family event - children, dogs, and wheelchairs are all welcome - please join us in the fun and help us pay it forward to children in need!
