On July 8, 1776 Trenton hosted the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence outside of Philadelphia in front of what was then the Hunterdon County Courthouse on Warren Street (Mercer County did not yet exist).

That pivotal moment in history will be recreated on Thursday, July 8th at 12pm – 245 years to the day – at 23 South Warren Street, the same site as the original proclamation.

Our Executive Director, Patricia Hall, will be singing at the event! We hope to see you there!

We have unfortunately decided to postpone the 2021 Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series in downtown Trenton’s Mill Hill Park until the summer of 2022.

“We look forward to being together sharing the joy and energy live music brings to our community,” says Meaghan Singletary, Development Manager. “Until then, we deeply appreciate the continued support of the Levitt Foundation, NJM Insurance, and other sponsors and partners who share our love for the arts and passion for our community. While we can’t come together in the park, please take moments for yourself or with friends at the parklets popping up in the downtown and various other locations throughout our city.”

To all the awesome TDA staff, HAPPY NEW YEAR. Hopefully the Capital City Farmers Market will take place at the beautiful Mill Hill Park in 2021. Love you all, you are like family,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎆🧧
I want to wish everyone at the TDA a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year....very sad I couldn't see you in 2020, but hopefully the CCM will be back in 2021! Love you all!
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully there will be a Capital City Market for 2021!
Welcome to LHT's Journey to the Moon, we hope you'll help us hike and bike the 238,000 miles to the moon. https://lhtrail.org/fullmoonride/ Don’t worry, we’re traveling LHT miles: Each mile you bike or hike equals 22 miles – or the length of the LHT. That means we need to hike and bike a total of 10,818 miles. Let’s collectively log enough miles to virtually get us to the Moon! You can log miles on or off the LHT by biking or walking, jogging or skating, or taking out your dog; you can even log miles from your treadmill or spin bike – you name it! As long as you get active and remember to track your miles! All ages and fitness levels welcome, from any location around the world. Your journey, your way: Do it on your own or with a group. Round up family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. Everyone is welcome! Log miles from October 1, 2020 and March 1, 2021. https://lhtrail.org/moon-miles/ Check our tracker for progress! https://lhtrail.org/moon-miles-tracker/
Less than an hour to go until our first ever virtual blacksmithing from home class! Tune in at 3pm to watch Daniel Lapidow, AKA the Hebrew Hammer Blacksmith show some tricks of his trade. https://www.facebook.com/ArtworksTrentonNJ/photos/a.161837090502810/3165060663513756/?type=3&theater&ifg=1
Any word on the CCM?
I want to wish the TDA a Merry Christmas (even though a week late) and a Happy prosperous New Year. See you all at the Capital City Market in May!
Still need a fun summer camp for your child aged 6 - 14? There's still time to register for Hamilton Township Track and Field Camp being offered at Steinert HS in Hamilton July 8 – 12! Campers will learn different running drills and proper running form and participate in a fun-filled mini track meet on the last day of camp. Campers will also be able to pick the events in which they would like to participate. Aaron Oldfield of Hopewell Valley Central HS, and Joe McLaughlin, of Notre Dame HS, are the camp directors.
