June is Caribbean American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Caribbean Americans who help make Mercer County such a vibrant and diverse community.
Mercer County is home to residents with roots throughout the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and many other island nations. Their influence can be seen in our neighborhoods, businesses, schools, healthcare systems, houses of worship, and community organizations.
This month, we recognize and celebrate the generations of Caribbean Americans whose hard work, resilience, and cultural traditions continue to enrich our county and strengthen our shared future.
Happy Caribbean American Heritage Month!
