Did you know Trenton Parks & Recreation offers door-to-door transportation for Trenton residents ages 55+ and individuals with a qualifying disability?

Our senior transportation service can help with:
📅 Appointments
🛒 Grocery shopping
🏠 Essential errands

Trips must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and are available Monday–Friday within our service boundaries.

💲 $3.50 each way
💲 Trips of 10 or more are just $3.00 each way

College Dorm Fire Safety 🔥🏫

Heading off to college? Don’t let fire safety get lost in the excitement of a new school year!

🏠 Know your way out: Know at least two ways out of your dorm room and building.
🚨 Never ignore alarms: When the alarm sounds, get out immediately. Never assume it’s a drill.
🔌 Charge safely: Keep phones, laptops, and other devices off your bed and pillows while charging.
🍳 Cook safely: Never leave cooking unattended, and keep anything that can burn away from the stove.
🕯️ Skip the flames: Check your dorm’s rules before using candles, incense, or other open flames.
🔋 Watch lithium-ion batteries: Use the correct charger and never use batteries that are damaged, swollen, or overheating.
🚪 Keep exits clear: Don’t block hallways, stairways, doors, or emergency exits with personal belongings.
🚭 Follow the rules: Know your residence hall’s smoking and fire safety policies.
