It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own, Deputy Kenny Smith. Our hearts are truly broken as we grieve the loss of a great friend, colleague, and dedicated public servant.

Deputy Kenny faithfully served the citizens of Gibson County for many years. He also served the City of Humboldt with the same commitment, integrity, and compassion. He was a true servant to his community, and his impact will be felt for many years to come.

Gibson County has lost a great man, and we are all better for having known and worked beside him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected and loved.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Deputy Gene Skinner. Deputy Skinner was assigned to our court division where he displayed constant professionalism and a servant’s heart daily. Deputy Skinner, who was also an elected Constable and proud member of the Tennessee Constable’s Assocciation, will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Please keep his family, friends and coworkers in your thoughts and prayers.

We have a new specialty license plate that’s now available!
