With Monday September 7, 2026 being Labor Day, trash services will be pushed back by one day - Monday's trash will be picked up Tuesday September 8, 2026, Wednesday's yard waste will be picked up Thursday September 10, 2026 & Friday's recycling will be picked up Saturday September 12, 2026.

Harvest Season is Here!

As harvest season gets underway, you’ll start seeing more tractors, combines, grain trucks, and other farm equipment traveling our county roads.

We’re asking everyone to slow down, stay alert, and have a little patience when sharing the roads.

Large farm equipment may travel at slower speeds, make wide turns, or have limited visibility. Please avoid distracted driving, give them plenty of room, and only pass when it is safe and legal to do so.

A few extra minutes behind a tractor is a small price to pay to make sure everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.

Join us Monday, August 31 for a special Veterans Celebration Day honoring those who have taken—or will be taking—an Honor Flight in 2026. ✈️ A short program begins at 11:00 AM and is open to the public.

❤️🤍💙 Then help us send them off! Veterans depart the museum around 12:45 PM, traveling through Carlyle, Beckemeyer, Breese, Aviston, and Trenton. Line the streets, wave your flags, bring your family, and cheer them on
