Assemblyman Antwan McClellan uses Governor Phil Murphy administration's own words to expose offshore wind truths
Assembly Dems kicked off Memorial Day weekend by disrespecting a veteran standing up for disabled veterans. Democratic leadership interrupted Assemblyman Bergen, turned off his microphone, and called him out of order while he pushed forward legislation giving disabled veterans a property tax cut equal to their military disability rating. Bergen is a former Apache helicopter pilot and U.S. Army captain who fought in Iraq.

🚨Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger expressed concern after an Assembly Budget hearing Monday with the attorney general. He believes that Governor Phil Murphy's administration isn't taking the state's increasing car thefts and home invasions seriously. By focusing on a recent dip in stolen vehicles, the AG failed to acknowledge the overall increase and the fact that criminals are becoming more brazen. According to Scharfenberger, bail reform policies have had a negative impact on public safety by supporting repeat offenders. It's time for action and reform. New Jersey OAG
Governor Phil Murphy’s statements on the campaign trail for West New York Mayor Albio Sires are blowing up in a new single, “Murphy’s Money,” released by the Assembly Republican Office.
Rutgers union deal will cost taxpayers HOW MUCH? 🤑Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger held Rutgers accountable at the higher education budget hearing today. Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway couldn't, or wouldn't, provide a clear picture of the fiscal impact of the new union contracts, but the university is facing a deficit of around $125 million (despite receiving the most $ of any higher ed institution in the state) and confirmed the agreements wouldn't work without additional funding from the state.
Scharfenberger noted the Rutgers deal sets a precedent and unions at other colleges and universities will seek similar deals requesting taxpayer dollars to fill in the gaps.
The contracts include a 14% raise for full-time faculty, increased pay for adjunct faculty, full pay and health benefits for graduate fellows, and more.
WHAT? Get paid $200K to spend a half million? 👀When will
Governor Phil Murphy and Tammy Murphy realize it's YOUR money, not THEIRS?
The majority of the commission he earned — about $122,000 — was from items to decorate and furnish Murphy’s office and reception area, and the office used by the first lady.
A funny thing happened at the Statehouse this week.
Democrat-controlled NJ spent $467K of taxpayer money on prisoner sex-change operations & gender care so far this year.

Assembly Republican Leader John DiMaio, Deputy Leader Nancy Munoz and GOP budget committee members will hold a press conference to discuss school funding and impacts on students, schools and taxpayers.
The Murphys are no American Gothic!
On the expensive furnishings for the new Statehouse offices for him and his wife, Governor Phil Murphy said this: “We want to do this with some amount of majesty. This is New Jersey.”
Don’t get your Krimpet crumbs on their $100K rug, which you paid for.
Taxpayers are on the hook for nearly $500,000 dollars of lavish furnishings in Governor Phil Murphy’s and wife Tammy’s new offices in the Statehouse. Murphy defended the out-of-touch spending by saying, “We want to do this with some amount of majesty.” Taxpayers are not his royal subjects. And, as Assemblyman Antwan McClellan pointed out, “Other administrations paid for their personal desks in the Statehouse and fancy renovations, so I don’t see how these purchases can be justified.” That rug cost $114,420 – about $25,000 more than the median annual income for a family in NJ.
Isn't it ironic that Governor Phil Murphy took a break from negotiations between striking professors and Rutgers University administrators on Monday to sign an executive order that "prioritizes work experience and practical skills above a college degree for state employment opportunities?"
Governor Phil Murphy signed an executive order yesterday protecting doctors who provide hormone replacement drugs and surgery on children from lawsuits.
Want to know why?
There are more than 100 pediatric gender clinics across the U.S. I worked at one. What’s happening to children is morally and medically appalling.

Businesses may soon be prohibited from handing out plastic utensils unless customers explicitly request them under new legislation proposed (A5331) last week by Democrat Assemblyman Herb Conaway, MD. The ban would apply to take-out orders, restaurants and food trucks. It would also extend to sporting and entertainment venues, schools and even hospitals.
Nobody knows what his beef is with forks, but can we all agree this bill is trash?
AMAZING!! We asked A.I. to generate various images of Governor Phil Murphy's position on whales. You'll never believe the results!
Assemblyman Robert Auth hosted a Statehouse tour with a group of North Korean defectors from his legislative district in Bergen County on Monday, March 20, 2023. Bergen County boasts the largest population of Korean residents in the state.
Many politicians say they support law enforcement and first responders, but Assemblywoman Bethanne McCarthy Patrick doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. She is a member of Salem County FOP Old Oak Lodge 6, a retired firefighter from Pennsville Fire & Rescue Company No. 1 and currently works as an EMT with Inspira. Her work as a legislator allows her to be a voice for first responders and law enforcement, she told the New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police at their mini convention in Atlantic City today. She is focusing her efforts on ensuring law enforcement have the resources they need now to fully do their jobs, protecting their pensions once they retire, and permanently allowing members to retire after 20 years of service, regardless of age or when they enrolled in the pension system.

It’s a pattern! Yesterday at a state Senate session, Sen. Richard J. Codey said, “I didn’t give a damn what the constitution said” while defending the Murphy administration’s decision making. Remember back in 2020 when Governor Phil Murphy told Fox News that he “wasn’t thinking of the Bill of Rights”? Burt and Ernie did!
Supported by New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy and signed into law in June 2020, New Jersey is the first state in the nation to mandate that all public schools teach climate change in all grades. Those lessons start this school year. Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger, a professional archeologist and adjunct professor at Monmouth University, discusses with his classes that climate change has been occurring for millions of years, for natural and manmade reasons. While he supports a rigorous study on all topics controversial or not, he expressed concern over how this new curriculum will play out in the classroom.
Parents and teachers have told us their concerns about the new sex-ed curriculum. If the New Jersey Education Association commercials were honest this would be the ad they released last week.
Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips joined Laura Jones on MeTV’s New Jersey Politics Saturday to push his effort to lower the state's highest-in-the-nation 11.5% corporate business tax rate before companies, jobs and families move to the Keystone State. Pennsylvania lawmakers recently voted to lower the state’s 9.99% corporate tax rate, the second highest in the nation, by 1% on Jan. 1. The tax will gradually reduce to 4.99% by 2031.
The United States has been and still is the land of opportunity for everyone, regardless of race, sex, or background, Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger (R-Monmouth) says. But students would never know that based on classroom lessons today. Far from being the land of the free, the country is painted by educators as a racist, sexist, backward nation with only two classes: oppressors and victims. In this Reaction Couch episode, Scharfenberger dismantles the lies of critical race theory -- euphemistically repackaged as “diversity, equity, and inclusion” studies – and calls on parents and other concerned citizens to demand schools stop this divisive indoctrination and get back to basics: namely, academics. #CRT #criticalracetheory #diversityequityinclusion
The red and gold logo of the New Jersey Assembly GOP is turning pink to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month of October, the @njassemblygop logo will feature a pink background with a white Statehouse dome to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness. Pink is recognized as the universal color to raise awareness for breast cancer detection, treatment and research while honoring those who have been affected by the disease. It is used by corporations, nonprofits and other organizations to encourage women to be proactive about their breast health and serves as the color of hope for women and families battling the disease. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of deaths due to cancer among women in New Jersey, claiming more than 1,200 lives annually. An estimated one in eight American women will develop breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. It is the second most common cancer in women after skin cancer. In addition to the logo change, the NJ Assembly GOP also released a video dedicated to all the women who have shown us what it means to be a fighter.
Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger (R-Monmouth) said individuals and parents, not government bureaucrats, should make the decision whether to get vaccinated or mask up. Masks and vaccines must be voluntary, not mandatory. He and several other Republican Assembly members are supporting bills that codify the right, as well as ban vaccine mandates and passports in the state. #maskmandates #vaccinemandate #VaccinePassports
In recognition of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we are honored to feature this video narrated by Susan Rescorla, widow of Sept. 11 victim Rick Rescorla, who died while leading thousands to safety. She reads "At Ground Zero," a poem by Roy Ray. For more about her husband, a true American hero, please read below. Rick Rescorla, a former Army colonel, was a legend in Vietnam who acted heroically as a civilian in the south tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11. On the day of the attack, he worked as head of security for Morgan Stanley. With bullhorn in hand, he ordered the Morgan Stanley employees to evacuate the building. His selfless actions saved approximately 2,700 lives. A photo of Rescorla as a grizzled lieutenant in Vietnam, moving forward with bayonet fixed during the horrific 1965 battle of Ia Drang in Vietnam, became one of the iconic images of the war. There is a life-sized monument to Rescorla, modeled after the photo, at the National Infantry Museum's Memorial Walk of Honor near Fort Benning, Georgia. He and his wife, Susan, lived in Morristown. He was 62 years old. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2019/09/13/story-rick-rescorla-vietnam-vet-and-9-11-hero.html
How to Speak Like a Politician Rule 1: Do not give a direct answer. Especially when the subject is as controversial as mandatory COVID vaccinations for students. As you can see, Governor Phil Murphy is fluent in doublespeak.
New Jersey businesses just can’t catch a break. After unnecessarily dragging out the COVID lockdowns, which crushed businesses across the state, the Murphy administration will tax these businesses an additional $250 million in order to fund unemployment. #truthbombs
