It was a in Trenton! On Saturday, Prosecutor Janetta Marbrey and members of the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office started the day at Donnelly Homes for the Gun Violence Awareness March. We came together in unity, remembrance, healing and hope to walk side by side with community members, advocacy groups and New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport through neighborhoods impacted by gun violence.

The march ended in Cadwalader Park where we gathered for Trenton's Party in Orange. The rally brought together government and elected officials, local legislators, community groups like Moms Demand Action - Mercer County, Younity and the Trenton Community Street Team TCST, and family members of victims of gun violence to draw attention to the gun violence epidemic and call on the community to find solutions to end it.

The MCPO gave away free gun locks and Prosecutor Marbrey spoke to the crowd about law enforcement’s role in stopping gun violence through prevention, not just prosecuting the perpetrators.

Events such as these play a vital role in building safer communities and preventing future tragedies. Thank you to all who joined us.

The 2026 World Cup starts next week and law enforcement is working hard to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for all.

Human trafficking remains one of the world’s fastest-growing criminal activities. Major sporting events, while not the cause of trafficking, can magnify existing vulnerabilities, increase opportunities for exploitation, and highlight gaps in protection faced by migrants, youth and marginalized communities.

Visitors and residents who believe they have identified trafficking victims should contact 855-END-NJ-HT (855-363-6548).

If you or someone you know is a victim of human trafficking or for victim assistance, contact Covenant House 24/7 at 862-240-2453.

Help us prevent human trafficking, abuse and exploitation.
