Every Madison City Schools student can now eat breakfast free—no forms, no fees, no income limits. The state-funded program launches Thursday, but district officials say its future depends on how many kids actually use it.

Madison City Board of Education named a new schools superintendent.

The following meetings and work sessions were scheduled this evening by the Town Council:

1. A joint Town Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Comprehensive Plan Committee will be held on Monday Aug 3rd at 6PM to discuss the draft Comprehensive Plan and steps to finalize the document.

2. On Monday, August 10th at 530PM the Town Council will hold a work session to finalize the Short Term Rental Ordinance.

3. On Monday, August 17th at 6PM, a Public Hearing will be held regarding Landess Circle Traffic Safety.

The Town Council approved the After School Program for the 2026-2027 School Year for K-5 students. Stay tuned for registration instructions.

Keller North America is expected to begin repairs to Willie Sanders Drive on Wednesday July 29th. Protective barricades and fencing will be in place. Please bear with us as construction takes place.

***WATER OUTAGE NOTIFICATION***

Planned water outage for Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The outage is necessary to install a fire hydrant on Cowan Rd. Areas of outage are 806-288 Wall Triana Hwy, Ragland Cr, Landess Cr, Cowan Rd, Fearn Dr. Tedchilds Way, Malvern Hill subdivision, and Draper Dr. The alternate weather day is Thursday July 16, 2026.
