Our members will be at the Fonda Fair all weekend selling tickets for our Grand prize Coachman Catalina camper! You can go inside and check it out and see what you will be winning, and thank you all for supporting our department! We are set up in front of the Zoller Flower barn near the main entrance!

At tonight’s monthly meeting we voted in our newest junior member! Please help us welcome in Ian McClary. Ian is a graduate of Amsterdam high school, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 5048 in Amsterdam and his family has strong roots in Fort Johnson. He is the grandson of Carol and George McClary. Last night our department had classroom and field training on new battery powered extrication tools (Jaws of Life) with Doug DeRidder from the Galway Volunteer Fire Department. This year our biggest fundraiser is our Coachman Catalina Camper raffle. 1,000 tickets are being sold at $50 per ticket, and the winner will be announced on Memorial Day 2027. We are raising money to cover the cost of the $50,000 price tag for new Amkus battery powered extrication tools. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help others in the future! Tickets can be purchased from any THFD member, and we will be at the Fonda Fair all week selling tickets.

Last night our department participated in a mutual aid drill at a 160 bed skilled nursing facility. The drill was organized by the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department, and Cranesville Fire Department also participated. Chief Sandy completed a thorough review of the building from top to bottom and familiarized everyone with entry points, mechanicals, and the layout of the interior. First Assistant Chief Donald Reksc and Driver/pump operator Miley Rivera did a thorough review of their departments ladder truck. Thank you again to Hagaman's department for organizing last night's training!
