OK, so we don't look like this picture yet! But we will be CLOSED on Monday for Labor Day, then we will switch to our Fall/Winter Hours. They are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30-5:00 and Wednesday 1:00-7:00, all Mountain Time. See you at the library!

September is promoted by libraries across the country as Library Card Sign-up Month! Of course, you can come in and sign up for a free library card any time of the year. We can also sign up any Kansas resident for a free State Library of Kansas card, which you can use with the Cloud Library app to check out ebooks and audiobooks for free. See you at the library!

I hear it's going to be a hot one this weekend! You might need something to read while you stay inside where it's cool! The Greeley County Library has plenty of books available for you to check out. We have the 2026 Kansas Notables, a selection of the Kansas/America 250 books for August, which feature notable Kansans, and several of our new books for July and August have come back in from their initial checkouts. We’re building pop bottle rockets! Come join us now until 11:00 a.m. MDT. Launch is this evening at the rodeo grounds after the 4-H rocket launch at 7:00. See you at the library!

Monday morning at the Greeley County Library-join us to decorate pop bottles for the Greeley County Fair rocket launch Monday evening! We’ll meet between 9:00-11:00 at the Library to decorate bottles from the Recycling Center with materials provided by Thumper Hardware and Rocket Tire. Kids younger than 6 need to have a caregiver stay with them. This is come-and-go during the two hours. Rockets will be launched following the 4-H rocket launch which is at 7:00 p.m. at the Rodeo Arena.

The weekly Farmers Market is setting up in the lot by the library. Come inside where it’s cool to check out a book, then “check out” the vendors outside for a variety of goods!
