***Burn Ban in Effect***

By order of the Clinton County Commission, a burn ban including use of fireworks is now in effect until such time as outdoor burning has been determined to be safe by the Commission. This order is enacted under authority of RSMo 49.266(2) Violation of this ban is a Misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1000 and/or 1 year in jail.

Receive a call on a fireworks complaint. No more fireworks can be shot in the city till next year. Please be mindful of your neighbors and show them some respect.

If anyone has made a call to the Clinton County dispatch and they are not sending anyone out, or they say they are forwarding the call to us I would like to know dates and times of the call for service.

I am getting conflicting information that citizens are calling and being told we would be notified and it may not be happening.

Also had complaints of Sheriffs office refusing to take reports and saying we would follow up, but we were not notified of the investigation.

Please continue to call 911 for emergencies as this page is not monitored and hopefully we can resolve these issues.

Be safe in the heat and check in on your neighbors. Make sure your drinking plenty of water and push more for the kidos and stay away from caffeinated drinks.

It's going to be hot the rest of the week. Thursday looks to be the hottest day of the year so far as highs climb to around 100° in the KC area with heat indices of 105 to 110.

Trimble is having their annual Animal Clinic and registration from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday at the Trimble Community Building City Hall. Plattsburg animal Clinic will be the ones doing it please share for all your friends thank you
