Recovered a Ranger last Sunday. Ice was extremely candled!!!! Too shallow for lift bags or lift rig, but through the dedication and hard work of our team, we got ot out!!

We did a little snowmobile recovery on Saturday. Used the rotating sonar to locate it and pin point where it was.
Do to the shallow depth, we couldn't use lift bags, and couldn't use the saw to cut the ice above it for the lift rig due to the fear of cutting the sled, so we cut a hole in safer ice and pulled it to us.
Another successful recovery with no injuries when it went in or came out!!!

Sorry it's been a LONG TIME since we posted anything due to technical difficulties. But we're still here and still working on improving our equipment and skills!
Since we posted last we've been able to purchase an enclosed trailer for our vehicle recovery equipment and a 2013 suburban to pull the jon boat and transport personnel to the scene.
We couldn't have done it without the help and support of everyone that donated!!
So from the bottoms of our hearts, we want to say THANK YOU for your continued support and trust in us!!!

Sorry we haven't posted anything in a LONG time! Due to the COVID-19 we have struggled too! But we are still active and ready to respond! We have updated some of our equipment, and looking at updated more, including adding another vehicle to our fleet in the future! Even with the COVID-19 pandemic, our supporters have generously been donating towards the suburban project! We can't THANK them enough! The grants we put in for have been slow due to the covid, but we have received several and are really close to our fundraising goal! WE ARE STILL HERE AND READY TO RESPOND thanks to our supporters!

Today we recovered a 4 wheeler that went through the ice a while back. To keep everyone safe, we had to wait for better ice conditions due to the distance we had to go across the lake with the equipment. Even though it was upside down and sunk half way in the silt, we were still able to bring it up without anyone getting injured. Special thanks to all that helped with their personal equipment!!! We couldn't have done it without them!

Ice conditions weren't the greatest to start with, and now after the warmer temperatures last week and a half, and then the rain today they have become extremely dangerous! Thickness and ice type can change within a couple feet without any noticeable difference in appearance.

Just a reminder about ice thickness. This is a ROUGH guideline for "NEW CLEAR ICE ONLY"! Ice conditions can change dramatically within a few feet! We've already been called for a 4 wheeler going through on an area lake, luckily everyone is ok. Always remember "ICE IS NEVER 100%SAFE"! Know the difference in the types of ice, how it forms, what conditions affect it's thickness and how to "read" it before venturing out on it!

The shallow lakes are starting to become isothermic, meaning they are a consistent temperature from top to bottom and are getting ready to freeze over. With the cold spell we are expecting to have, alot of shallow lakes will start to build ice.
DON'T venture out on them until you are sure they are WELL frozen over, or you might get to meet all of us and the ER staff personally!!
BE SAFE not SORRY!!

We spent the day at the Martin county fairgrounds helping out the Martin county chapter of pheasants forever with their 2nd annual youth conservation day.
It was a great day with not only the kids learning alot, but also the adults. All had alot of questions about the equipment and how we locate things underwater and recover them. We hope to help out again next year!
