Keep Trinidad Safe

Keep Trinidad Safe Community-led safety & awareness initiative
Promoting connection, prevention & support
Together, we rise. Together, we protect.

Connecting clients with resources and services.
📍916 Arizona Avenue, Trinidad, CO 81082
Open Monday - Friday 8am-4pm The Justice Reinvestment Crime Prevention Initiative, originally enacted in 2017 by the Colorado General Assembly and administered by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, (DOLA), was expanded to include Trinidad and unincorporated areas of Las Animas County, on September 1, 202

1, in HB21-1215. The initiative proposes to reduce crime and recidivism through community and economic development. DOLA selected the Trinidad Community Foundation (TCF) to administer the Transforming Safety Community Grant Program for this area. The Youth Club of Trinidad applied for this funding through TCF and was awarded the funds to do this important work, and this was how Keep Trinidad Safe began. How we Work
Community partners refer clients that have been involved with the judicial system. The KTS Case Manager then interviews the client to discover their unique needs and suggest services and resources that would be most beneficial. Some of our clients are a part of prevention programming, with the hope that they will never be involved with any judicial system. There are also clients that need more wrap around services from our agency. Services that are offered by our Partners:
Project Power, Internships at Earth Mountain Education Farm, assistance in completing GED or other education services, job skills, behavioral health services, detox, rehab, sober living, CRAFT, gardening, NA, AA, Peer Mentors, and the
list is always growing.

📢 BIG NEWS! 📢

Keep Trinidad Safe has officially moved into our new space—and for the first time, we have a storefront location! 🎉🏠

Having a visible, welcoming storefront means our community can find us more easily, connect with services more quickly, and access support in a space designed to serve them. This move represents more than just a new address—it’s a significant step forward in our mission to help individuals and families build healthier, safer, and more stable lives.

This new location gives us more room to grow, serve, and support the individuals and families who rely on our services. Every step forward helps us continue our mission of connecting people with the resources, support, and recovery services they need to build healthier, safer lives.

We're incredibly grateful to our community, partners, volunteers, and supporters who have helped make this possible. Your belief in our work allows us to expand our impact and better serve those who need us most.

We can't wait to welcome you to our new home and continue making a difference together. Stay tuned for updates, photos, and information about an upcoming open house!

🏠 New Space. Same Mission. Bigger Impact.

Our new official address is 916 Arizona Ave. Our storefront and Resource Center are located next door at 918 Arizona Ave. As always, all clothing in our storefront is available free of charge to anyone in need.

As of right now our 719-846-3310 phone number is out of service until we can get it switched over, however, we do have a temporary number we can be reached on. 303-774-7623. You can dial 0425 to reach Amber, 1201 to reach Jason, 1117 to reach Tony or 1020 to reach Kat. Again, we thank you all for your patience during this transition and we will keep the community updated of any changes.
