Thanks to the Redding Rancheria and the TCVFD Auxiliary, we were able to purchase a hose tester. The guys tested 1750' of hose from our Type 1 engine last night! Previously, we used a fire engine to pump water for testing - hard on the engine and volunteers!

You are invited to join Coffee Creek Volunteer Fire Department for a Saint Patrick's Day Dinner celebration on March 17, 2026.

The menu includes Corned Beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, salad, and Soda Bread.

Since the County closed their fueling facility in Trinity Center, the VFD has been struggling to get fuel - either paying retail (Thanks KOA for giving us a break!) or driving to Weaverville to the County's facility there for bulk prices. That meant taking rigs and firefighters out of service. Now we have a spiffy fuel trailer - thanks to a Trinity Trust grant and a donation from Mike McHugh. Noncritical staff can take it to Weaverville to get cheaper fuel. Plus we can take it on longer fire deployments to refuel. Woohoo!

Still plenty of spaces for the Wreath Workshop on Saturday at 1 pm at the Fire Station. Make a fun gift and support TCVFD at the same time. I'll have a few pre-made wreath bases if you just want to decorate one. See ya!

We're still looking for donations to Santa's Workshop. Please donate items that kids could "purchase" for their parents and family members (see suggestions below). Drop stuff off at the fire station. We could also use helper "elves" and wrapping materials. Thanks!

Join your neighbors for Evacuation Board Game Night on Monday, November 17th at the IOOF Hall at 5:30 pm. Coffee Creek, Trinity Center and Covington Mill are all included. This is a fun way to prepare for something serious – the need to evacuate in the event of a wildfire. The game starts with locating your home on a large map, then drawing cards to simulate problems. What do you do if a burning tree falls across the road, a gate is locked or you run out of gas? Can you help a disabled neighbor or move livestock? Do you start with bonus points because you have an evacuation plan? Pizza & refreshments, so see you there!
