🤠The 69th Annual Ruth Rodeo is back! 🗓️July 31–August 2 in Ruth, CA — 🐎wild bulls, tough cowboys, and one epic weekend. Friday night's Bull-A-Rama kicks off at 7PM, Saturday brings the junior rodeo and open rodeo, and both nights wrap up with barbecue and live music under the stars. Nearly 70 years of small-town Trinity County tradition. Bring the family, bring your boots, and stick around for a swim at Ruth Lake while you're at it.

This is exactly why we love living in Trinity County. Away from city lights, our skies stay genuinely dark — step outside on a clear night and you can look up and see the Milky Way stretched across the sky. The Perseids peak the night of August 12 into the morning of August 13, landing on a new moon this year for some of the darkest, clearest viewing we've had in a while — up to 100 meteors an hour if you catch it between 2–6 AM. No telescope needed. Just grab a blanket, find a spot away from any stray lights, and let Trinity County's night sky put on the show — and don't forget to make a wish. 🌠
