Annette Taddeo won Taylor County's Democratic primary for Chief Financial Officer, 392 votes to 290.

Taddeo was born in Colombia, built a business in South Florida, and served in the state Senate from 2017 to 2022. She's running on holding insurance companies accountable, opening up the state's books, and protecting consumers.

Here's why that matters here. The CFO doesn't just count the state's money. That office runs the Department of Financial Services, which is where you file a complaint when an insurance company won't pay out. Anybody who has fought over a homeowners policy after a storm knows exactly what that's worth.

She faces Blaise Ingoglia, who was appointed to the office rather than elected to it, on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Trump's view is my opponent Laurel Lee's view; she is a rubber stamp for his policies.

Lee takes money from tech interests including Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Meta, and Andressen Horowitz.

She has given $8 million of taxpayer appropriations to USF for their AI/Cyber Maker Space and spoke in 2025 at a Google sponsored conference about "Advancing with AI"

Lee even says at that conference that she wants to use AI for CONSTITUENT SERVICES.
