10:00 P.M.: 288 members remain without power. Restoration efforts continue. We are thankful for your understanding as crews work diligently to restore service.
9:00 P.M.: 353 members remain without power. Crews continue working across our service area to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews work to restore service to all affected members. Thank you!
8:00 P.M.: 407 members remain without power. Most of the remaining outages are smaller, scattered outages across Morgan and Lawrence Counties. While each outage may affect only a few members, crews are continuing to work through them and restore service as quickly and safely as possible. Thank you for your patience.
6:00 P.M.: Just over 1,600 members are without power at this time. Our crews have restored power to thousands today, and we are thankful for their hard work! They remain in the field working to restore power to those still affected.
5:00 P.M.: 2,333 members remain without power. Crews are reporting most of the damage stems from fallen trees and lightning. Damage is spread across our service area, in both Morgan and Lawrence Counties. We have all hands on deck working to restore service. Thank you for your patience! 4:00 P.M.: Down to 2,800 members without power. We have numerous crews working to restore service across Morgan and Lawrence counties. We’ll continue to post hourly updates and photos as we receive them from the field.
3:00 P.M.: Over 3,500 members remain without power. For those on and around Rock Creek Road in Somerville, the outage is due to a downed tree on lines, which snapped a pole. We will continue regular updates as we receive them.
1:35 P.M.: We now have over 4,600 members without power. Crews have identified a downed tree on N Bethel Road in Decatur as the cause of one outage. Restoration efforts are underway.
Storms have started moving through and have cause multiple outages affecting more than 3,500 members in both counties with the largest being in Priceville. Crews are on site and working to get the power back on asap. You can get live outage information at JWEMC.coop. Updates to come.
