We are incredibly proud to celebrate Chase Ellis, Director of Parks & Recreation for the Town of Trophy Club, on being named a 2026 Fellow of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA).
This is not simply another professional award. Fellowship in the Academy is one of the highest recognitions in the parks and recreation profession. AAPRA Fellows are leaders who have demonstrated significant professional achievement, high-level leadership, and a sustained commitment to advancing the parks and recreation profession and the communities it serves. Selection is highly selective, with candidates nominated by Academy members and evaluated through a rigorous review process.
So what does this say about Chase? It says that his leadership, vision, and commitment to parks and recreation are being recognized not only here in Trophy Club, but by leaders across the profession nationwide. It reflects the impact he has made throughout his career and his dedication to continually finding ways to make parks and recreation better.
And perhaps most importantly, this recognition belongs to Trophy Club, too.
Great parks and recreation departments don't happen by accident. They are built through thoughtful leadership, strong teams, long-term planning, innovation, and a genuine commitment to the people a community serves. Chase's leadership helps bring that vision to life here in Trophy Club, and the benefits are felt every day by the residents, families, athletes, children, seniors, and visitors who enjoy our parks, programs, trails, events, and facilities.
Having a leader recognized at this level puts Trophy Club on the map within the national parks and recreation profession and gives our community an even stronger voice among the professionals helping shape the future of the field.
Congratulations, Chase! This honor is incredibly well deserved, and we are proud to have you leading our Parks & Recreation team. ππ³π
