While one is likely to come in November, the next one is rumored to have changes that will address multiple concerns of the last bond. Giving voters options to vote for some, all or none. Improving proposition wording and possibly paying off an outstanding bond. Having this bond pushed to November will also insure that more people vote with this being placed on the ballot alongside major races.

It's no secret that voter turnout is ALWAYS horrible in May all over Texas. Due to "Voter fatigue". This is a common term as it refers to a decline in participation or interest because people feel overwhelmed or tired of frequent elections, information, or campaigning — leading to apathy and lower turnout. This leads to just a few turning up to make huge decisions that have the biggest impact on YOU! In this case even generational debt on your kids and grandkids....

At the meeting the school board approved Berry and Clay Construction Managers to be the CMAR for "anything in the future". They were selected from 3 applicants on using a grading system. The online agenda did not uploaded the system results for the public to view. There was a 7 member group that did the vetting of the applicants. Only name provided at the meeting publicly that served was school board member and strong bond supporter Mr. Dickey.

This year voters passed Proposition 13 to up the homestead exemption to $140k! For many this will allow you to KEEP hundreds of YOUR OWN MONEY! Durning the bond it was discovered that many in the community did not have a homestead exemption filed. If you have not filed an exemption add it to your new years resolutions!
