Earlier this morning, our volunteers assisted Walton at a commercial structure fire. With multiple different agencies involved we all worked so well together. Firefighters worked diligently to save as much as they could during the incident.
As we were released from this incident we supported Walton’s annual clam bake before volunteers washed 1200 feet of hose and got the trucks back ready for the next incident.
As members were just leaving the station to get cleaned up to go the 80th anniversary of the Masonville fire department we were toned out to motor vehicle accident, which thankfully only turned out to be a iPhone that fell off a car.
Members returned to service and made it over to Masonville to support our neighbors.
Our heart goes out the businesses that were involved today, we would like to thank all our volunteers that showed up today.

It’s derby night at the Delaware County Fair! 🎡

Please remember that our first responders volunteer their time to help the entire week run smoothly.
During the derby, remember that we have hours of training and time put into being able to keep the drivers, spectators and staff safe. We need space and respect to do our jobs.

To our first responders from other agencies- we appreciate your assistance. Trackside meeting will be held at 1800, full PPE and letters of approval are required to participate.

Thank you all and GOOD LUCK to all drivers tonight!

Attention all firefighters

If you are coming to work any event at the fair this week a few things are required

Full PPE, head to toe
Including SAFETY GLASSES

There is no exceptions. You can not work the gates during the derbies without proper PPE

If you have not gotten a form signed by your chief you need to bring it the nights your working

Come join the parade

It is NOT TOO LATE to join us in the Heroes and Firefighters Parade at the Delaware County Fair next week.
The parade is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18th at 7pm. Lineup begins at 5pm.
Comment below or send us a message to get in the line up. We would love to include any fire departments, businesses, groups, organizations!!!!
This years Grand Marshall will be the Town of Roxburys Retired Constable Steve Williamson.
Join the parade while your family and friends watch from the FREE grandstands and then stay for the FREE Chubby Checker concert immediately following the parade

At 7:40 this morning we were alerted of a tractor trailer fire at the intersection of State Highway 206 and County Highway 27 in Trout Creek. Upon arrival it was noticed that the tires and brakes on the passenger side of the trailer were on fire, firefighters pulled hand line and extinguished the flames. Overhaul operations went into effect to check for extension into the trailer. Thankfully quick work of fire underneath saved the contents of the trailer. We were assisted on scene with members from Masonville Volunteer Fire Department and Walton Fire Department, along with DCSO, NYSP, NYSDOT and Oralls Garage. We would like to thank all the volunteers that came out this morning.
We would like to thank the ones behind the scenes of all all incidents that no one sees, the Delaware County Emergency Services Dispatchers.
