South Eastway will be closed from Winecoff Street to Perry Road on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to through traffic. Only local traffic will be allowed in. Sewer line repairs will be made.

Duke Energy will be working on the Murdock Rd Retail Substation.

Starting January 2026, weather permitting

🚧What to Expect:

• Crews working in the area upgrading poles, lines, guy wires, and other equipment

• Increased crew presence near Duke Energy infrastructure

• Potential temporary traffic pattern changes and possible lane closures

• Planned power outages may occur; those impacted will receive advance notice by automated call/text or door hanger

📍Primary Work Areas Include:

Murdock Rd, N Main St, Watering Trough Rd, Moose Club Rd, Hoover Rd, Amity Hill Rd, E Monbo Rd, North Ave, Dover Rd, Arey Rd, and Orchard Rd

We are pleased to announce that each household is now allowed to place up to 3 extra bags of trash (30-gallon bags) beside their regular bin for pickup. 🎉

Below is a map of the Eastway Drive road closure for December 18 and 19 for utility work. It will be shut down from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on those two days, but access to the town hall and the ESC park will be allowed using Johnson Street and North Avenue. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during this time.

On 12/18/25 and 12/19/25 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, North Eastway Drive will be closed to through traffic for utility repairs. Access to the Townhall and ESC park will still be available through Johnson Street and North Ave.

The Town of Troutman will have a contractor (Locke-Lane Construction) that will be doing work on some of our sewer lines. This is part of the 2022 Wastewater Improvement Project, which was a grant awarded to the town. This project includes several areas throughout town that are in need of repairs found during inspections. The contractor will do their best to keep the roads open where the work will be taking place, but there may be times when a certain street will need to be closed. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but this will help some of our older sewer mains in Troutman.

The Town of Troutman Public Works has been removing the winter annual flowers and planting summer annuals in all Town beds and planters. Thanks to the Troutman Food Lion for donating some "bread crates" to help fill up space in the new planters on Wagner Street. On Monday, 5/5/25, Lytton Street from Talley to Goodman will be partially closed. One lane will be open for local traffic only. It should be closed from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Contractors will close Wagner Street from the intersection of Wagner Street/Main Street to Wagner Street/West Ave until 5:00 PM for road repairs. Local traffic will be allowed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

On Tuesday 2/25/25 starting around 8:30 am South Main at Rumple Street will be down to one lane again for continued underground utility repairs. There should be no water interruptions during the school day.
