We recently were able to review some vehicle extraction techniques and scene safety while working around vehicles on a roadway! This was a great training to review the equipment that we have as a department and continue to sharpen our skills! Huge shoutout to Kyle Rawson for donating the vehicles to the department to do this training!

We would like to thank everyone for coming out to Dharmas and supporting this great fire department. We had a lot of fun serving everyone some great food and drinks and we hope you had as much fun on the other side of the bar as we did behind the bar. We would also like to thank all of the vendors for coming out and making it a great night.

The fog has been hanging around the last few mornings so do everyone a favor and manually turn on your headlights.

Iowa law 321.384 (weather dependant) is to turn on your headlights - even in the daytime. DO NOT TRUST YOUR AUTOMATIC LIGHTS!

They do not provide the light needed for other drivers to see you. With a majority of new vehicles being white, grey and silver, it's kind of spooky to not see you zooming by. It's like you’re a ghost 👻 (we know this would have been better to post in October).

But please turn on your lights and drive safe!

Little improvements make a huge difference! Last weekend we got the station painted and had Goody’s Garage Custom Coatings powder coat our sign that turned out awesome! We also got the station and trucks all washed up and ready to see everyone tomorrow morning!! Reminder our breakfast is from 7-10 (free will donation) as well as a parade following at 11.
