Getting ready for the Lincoln County Fair, next week, July 14-18, 2026. Pulled 18 supers today, have my work cut out for the next day or so (before I pull more on Fri/Sat). Hope to see you all at the Fair - look for our booth near the Exhibit Hall. As usual, we expect to have 3 different lots of honey along with other items (lip balm, hand lotion bars, beeswax, etc).

Was contacted by a St Peters, MO law enforcement officer about a swarm of honey bees in a tree at the QT on the corner of Cave Springs and Mexico Rd. Was able to coax them onto a couple of frames of drawn comb, which smells like home. Glad to help out the St Peters community, give the bees a good home, and give them a chance to thrive. Sometimes the best bees are "freebees"!! Shout out to David Romanko, the said officer.

Checked on some single deeps on 3/9, brooding up nicely and great pattern! Will make some nice overwintered 5-frame nuc...
