Last night, our Director of Outreach Services, Sara Dzembo, and Associate Director of Development, Ollie Otty, attended Congressman Paul Tonko’s Capital Region Housing Expo, connecting with community partners and sharing information about the services and resources available through Joseph’s House & Shelter.

Thank you Congressman Tonko for bringing organizations together around the shared goal of expanding access to housing and support in our community!

Tuesday, August 25th, join U.S. Congressman Paul Tonko for his Capital Region Housing Expo at SUNY Schenectady Community College, for a community-centered event designed to help Capital Region residents understand and navigate today’s housing landscape, connect with local organizations, and access resources that support safe, stable, and affordable housing.

This free event brings together local housing organizations, government agencies, nonprofits, renters’ rights advocates, and community partners—all in one place—to offer direct support, answer questions, and provide practical guidance on housing programs, eligibility, and pathways to homeownership and securing/maintaining affordable housing.

🎒 Thank you Shreya from Gleebox for coordinating a wonderful Back-to-School Backpack Drive for our agency, and to Sunmark Federal Credit Union for volunteering to fill each backpack with essential school supplies and special treats.

Thanks to your generosity and teamwork, students in our programs will head back to school prepared, confident, and ready for a successful year. We are so grateful for your support! ❤️
