What a great night at the Feast of St. Augustine! 🙏

So many parishioners, elected officials, and community members came together to celebrate the blessing of St. Augustine Church brand-new food pantry by Bishop Mark O’Connell.

A special thank you to the Troy NY AOH - James Connolly - Division 8 for the incredible work they put into renovating the church’s old garage and transforming it into a beautiful new space that will serve families in our community through the weekly food pantry!

Mayor Mantello was honored to join Council President Sue Steele, Assemblymember John McDonald, Senator Jake Ashby, and County Legislators Carole Weaver & Dan Casale, and so many others for an evening filled with joy, fellowship, and celebration.

And thank you to Father Martin Kordel for all you do for St. Augustine’s and for our entire Troy community!❤️

What a wonderful example of neighbors coming together to serve one another!

For more than three decades, Patricelli’s has been so much more than a deli. It has been a place where friendships were made, families were fed, laughter was shared, and countless memories were created.

Last night, Mayor Mantello was honored to unveil “C.R.A.B. Garrison Way” during a special honorary street sign dedication ceremony celebrating CRAB Garrison #1954 and its more than seven decades of service to Troy’s veteran community.

Since 1954, the C.R.A.B. Club has been a place where veterans come together, build friendships, support one another, and give back to the community they proudly call home.

Mayor Mantello and the City of Troy extend a special thank you to Commander Josh Hearne, Board Chairman John Dolan, John Santora, Timmy Strife, Kasey Kelly, and all of the incredible members and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to reinvigorate the club and strengthen its membership.

This new street designation is a lasting tribute to the generations of veterans who have called the C.R.A.B. Club home and to everyone who continues to carry that proud tradition forward.

Congratulations to the C.R.A.B. Club on this well-deserved honor!🇺🇸

Check out the incredible progress being made on our brand-new Station #1 Firehouse in Lansingburgh! 🚒

This project is part of the Mantello Administration’s unprecedented $16 million investment in the Troy Firefighters Department. A project that was dead in the water for years is now taking shape right before our eyes.

Today, Quality-of-Life Action Crews were on site installing water tap services for the facility, while construction crews continued work on the elevator shafts, offices, and common spaces. Soon, construction will begin on the fire truck bays.

The brave men and women of the Troy Fire Department deserve the best facilities and equipment to meet the demands of modern-day firefighting - and we are delivering.

Thank you to our firefighters for your courage, dedication, and commitment to serving and protecting the residents of Troy every single day. 🇺🇸🚒

Today, Mayor Carmella R. Mantello announced she is introducing legislation to expand property tax relief for permanently and totally disabled veterans in the City of Troy.

New York State has recently authorized a new property tax exemption for eligible veterans who have sustained permanent and total service-connected disabilities. This legislation would allow Troy to opt into that exemption and provide additional financial relief to those who have made extraordinary sacrifices while serving our nation.

The proposed legislation will be considered by the Troy City Council at the September 17 Finance Meeting. If adopted, the exemption would apply to the 2027 City of Troy tax rolls, with applications due to the City Assessor by March 1, 2027.

The Mantello Administration will continue working to ensure Troy’s veterans receive the support, recognition, and benefits they have earned through their service to our country.
