Michigan Association of Police The Michigan Association of Police "MAP" is a full service labor organization. It has a comfortable, functionally attractive design of which members are proud.

The location and the resource structure of a union's central office combine to have a direct and profound impact upon the organization's ability to serve its membership. The headquarters are centrally situated in order for staff to have rapid access to all members. Such headquarters are also in close proximity to the offices of the union's other service providers, such as its legal specialists. It

has the capacity to host meetings, to house the modern hardware that is essential to sophisticated business operation, and to provide the kinds of functional accessories that create a setting of which all members can be proud. The MAP headquarters are located near a network of expressways interconnecting Michigan's cities. Therefore, the labor relations' staff is within driving range of points throughout Michigan. Importantly, it is kept working at peak efficiency by a highly qualified support staff. The MAP headquarters aid staff in providing effective and efficient representation to members.

Ava Brighton of Adrian, a Cadet Fire Fighter, was honored with one of two 2026 Carl Parsell Scholarships. The $2,500 award will greatly assist the daughter of MAFF member Dustin Brighton, a Cambridge Township Fire Fighter, with out-of-state college tuition and more expenses as a Kansas State University Rodeo Team member. She will use her scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture at Kansas State. We greatly appreciate our members exceptional participation in the MAP Detroit Pistons partnership which helped us reach a personal best in fundraising this basketball season! All funds raised benefit future Carl Parsell Scholars.

MAP members surpassed the minimum 50-ticket requirement to earn $5 for every ticket sold. With 57 tickets purchased through the MAP Pistons 2025-2026 season web page, MAP is receiving $285 from the scholarship fundraiser.

MAFF members boosted sales with an incredible 101 tickets sold, earning the Union not only $5 per ticket, but an additional $500 fundraising bonus for selling a minimum of 100 tickets. The MAFF Pistons fundraiser brought in a whopping $1,005!

All proceeds will be used to directly fund the MAP, MAPE, MAFF Carl Parsell Scholarship Fund. At least $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded during the 36th Annual Carl Parsell Memorial Golf Outing on June 11, 2026. https://map911.org/scholarship-information

Michigan International Speedway (MIS) is hosting a NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, June 7, 2026 honoring law enforcement, first responders and public safety personnel.

MIS is teaming up with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) to provide a special ticket offer, which includes an exclusive Michigan International Speedway branded Challenge Coin and a $10 donation to the NLEOMF for each ticket sold.

Tickets start at $56 and are available to all law enforcement, first responders, public safety, corrections, friends, family, and the general public.
