The Troy Police Department received multiple complaints on May 22, 2026, regarding vehicles being broken into throughout the City of Troy.

After a thorough investigation by Troy Police investigators, Nathaniel A. Harmer, 19, of Luverne, Alabama, was arrested on May 27, 2026, and charged with eight counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle.

Bond was set at $2,500 per count, for a total bond amount of $20,000. Harmer was processed through the Troy City Jail before being transported to the Pike County Jail.

Investigators continue to actively work this case and remain committed to identifying and charging all individuals involved, while also working to recover stolen property for the victims impacted.

We would like to thank the Luverne Police Department for their assistance during this investigation.

The Troy Police Department remains committed to protecting our community. If you come to our city and commit crimes, we will pursue you, investigate you, and hold you accountable.
