One of Troy's very own! Congratulations, Victor Schutzius, and thank you for your commitment and service to Owensboro, Troy, and Tell City Fire. 🚒

✨ Award Spotlight ✨

The Firefighter of the Year award is a prestigious honor within the Owensboro Fire Department, and this year, the torch has been passed to Firefighter Victor Schutzius.

Though last year’s recipient, Doug Roth, has since retired, he returned to personally hand off the award—highlighting the tradition of excellence it represents.

Here’s what Victor’s fellow firefighters had to say:

🔥 "Victor is one of the hardest working members of this fire department. No job is too small, and whatever is needed he does with a good attitude and a smile. "

🔥 "Victor is the most aggressive firefighter that I have worked with. He is the first to the truck and gives his all on everything he does. Victor is a true asset to OFD."

Victor, your dedication and passion make a lasting impact on OFD, and this recognition is well deserved. Congratulations!
