What a SWEET way to wrap up an incredible week of summer camp! 🍋🍭🍉☀️

We celebrated with a lemonade stand, cotton candy, sour straws, fresh fruit, and a special morning performance from the one and only Mrs. Yolanda Coleman! 🎤✨

This week was filled with hands-on learning and lots of fun! We worked on building confident readers and mathematicians while making learning engaging and meaningful.

🔆Highlights from our week include some really special moments like: Reading After the Fall and putting their engineering skills to the test with an egg drop challenge that required planning, predicting, and teamwork.

Finishing Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and writing and performing creative commercials for Juicy-O!!

We compared and contrasted athletes through text, designed shoes Michael Jordan would love, wrote book reviews, composed letters to authors, deepened our vocabulary, mastered multiplication, conducted arrays and so much more!

What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and growth! We are so proud of our campers and all they accomplished. 💛📚🧠✨

Today at summer school with Ms. TeAndrea Burnett, students were read the book "Duck for President" and Ms. Burnett had the kids do a craft activity. Each student was asked, why would they be a good president? Here are their responses...

Student 1: "I would be a good president because I am a nice person."
Student 2: " I would be a good president, because I will be kind to everybody."
Student 3: "I would be a good president, because I will help people."
Student 4: " I would be a good president because you need to be nice
Student 5: "I would be a good president because you can't be lazy."

Excellent answers from each of these students - Fantastic job!

We can’t wait to see all of the cool activities these ladies learned from Steve Spangler at ‘Everyday STEM for Little Sprouts’! Our Pre-K kiddos are fortunate to have such dedicated teachers who continue learning so they can bring exciting educational activities back to the classroom.
