Weโ€™re at a pivotal moment in our efforts to eliminate the voluntary intoxication exclusion. This change is critical to ensuring justice for all survivors of sexual violence. As Will Rivera, NYSCASAโ€™s Interim Executive Director, emphasizes, "We must not allow outdated laws to deny justice to those who need it most." Now is the time to act. Your support is crucial in pushing this legislation forward.

We are deeply grateful for the incredible turnout at Wednesday's digital rally, which supported NY A1065, which would eliminate the "Voluntary Intoxication Exclusion."

Over 100 attendees, including brave survivors and our supportive coalition, made their voices heard. Special thanks to Asm. Jeffrey Dinowitz, Sen. Nathalia Fernandez, Asm. Grace Lee, Asm. Linda B. Rosenthal, and Asm. Karen McMahon for their unwavering support.

With the bill passing the Senate unanimously and 73 cosponsors in the Assembly, your continued advocacy is crucial. Show your support by emailing your assemblymember!
