🚗💙 KEEPING OUR TEEN DRIVERS SAFE 💙🚗

The goal isn’t just getting a license. It’s making it home.

Lincoln County Ambulance District is proud to partner with 79 Safe Coalition to host First Impact: Teen Driver Safety Program on Saturday, June 13th from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at our Troy headquarters.

Did you know that teens ages 15–19 have the highest crash risk of any age group on the road? The first 30–90 days of independent driving are some of the most dangerous. First Impact is a FREE, evidence-based program designed to help parents and teens understand those risks and learn practical ways to stay safe behind the wheel.

Participants will learn about:
🚗 Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law
🚗 Common factors involved in teen crashes
🚗 Practical ways parents can coach and support new drivers
🚗 Tools and resources to help families navigate the early driving years together

Research consistently shows that parents are the single greatest influence on a teen driver’s safety. This program equips families with the knowledge and confidence to help reduce the risk of crashes, injuries, and fatalities.

We are excited to welcome this new business to Troy and appreciate their support of our first responders. Community partnerships like these mean so much to us, and we can’t wait to see them become part of our growing community.

Be sure to check them out when they open at 198 State Hwy 47 in Troy and help give them a warm Lincoln County welcome!

Thank you again, 7 Brew, for the delicious pick-me-up and for thinking of our team. We wish you nothing but success on your grand opening! 🎉☕💙

Yesterday, our crews responded to a structure fire at a residence where a cat suffered smoke inhalation injuries. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we were previously able to obtain pet oxygen masks — and yesterday, they made all the difference.

With quick action and the use of one of the pet oxygen masks, Paramedic Lucas was able to help resuscitate the cat, who thankfully made a full recovery.

This is a perfect example of how community support directly impacts lives — including our four-legged family members. Thank you to everyone who helped make these lifesaving tools possible, and great work to all crews involved. 🐾🚑🔥

We would also like to recognize and thank the fire districts that responded to this incident: Winfield Foley Fire Protection District, Elsberry Fire Protection District, Old Monroe Fire Protection District, and Lincoln County Fire Protection District. We greatly appreciate their teamwork, dedication, and commitment to serving our community.

As we wrap up EMS Week, we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone in our community who took the time to stop by with snacks, drinks, meals, cards, and gifts for our crews. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express.

We are incredibly grateful to serve such a caring community that always finds ways to lift us up and show appreciation for the work our crews do every day. Thank you for thinking of us during EMS Week and throughout the year. We truly couldn’t do it without the support of our community. ❤️🚑
