Now that school is back in full swing, Lincoln County EMA is rolling out School Incident Command Guides.
These binders will be placed in command-level emergency response vehicles throughout Lincoln County, helping ensure that the response to a school emergency is coordinated and consistent, regardless of where in the county the incident occurs.
Each guide includes a command checklist for response operations, QR codes providing immediate access to maps of every public school in Lincoln County, and laminated school maps for use by incident command during emergency operations.
A school emergency is one of those incidents we hope we never face, but hope is not a response plan.
Lincoln County EMA takes the safety of our children, teachers, and school staff seriously. We will continue working with our public safety and school partners to make sure that if the unthinkable happens, our responders arrive prepared, organized, and ready to act.
