As we watch our “Socialist Seven” continue pushing policies that would move Troy further toward the direction of cities like NYC, LA, and San Francisco, now more than ever, we need to rally our base and say enough is enough!

Please join the committee for a cookout fundraiser and help us begin this important process. We know fundraising isn’t always the most fun part of politics, but it is a necessary part of building a strong campaign and giving voters a choice.

Time and time again, we have seen this council majority take steps to advance its agenda, including efforts to limit the mayor’s executive authority and obstruct or halt the amazing progress made by the mayor and her administration.

They have made their priorities clear. They have shown that they are not focused on the cleaner, safer Troy that so many of us want. And they have made it clear that they are pursuing an agenda that THEY want not what YOU want.

It’s time for Democrats, Republicans, and independent-minded Troy residents alike to stand together and say: we are not willing to let Troy become the next NYC, LA, or San Francisco. We will not sit back idle and watch as they attempt to make Troy dirtier and more dangerous. Our mayor and her administration continue to fight every single day and we need you to fight with us!

We have already had Democrats reach out to us asking how they can help and expressing their concerns about the direction this council is taking. This is one way you can make a difference.

We also have a few spots remaining for candidates for City Council this year. If you are interested in stepping up and getting involved, please send us a message or email us. We would love to hear from you.

📍 Come out for the cookout, meet the committee, connect with fellow residents, and help support the effort to make a difference in Troy!

If you’re unable to attend, online donations and checks are accepted. See link below.

‼️‼️”MAYOR BARRED FROM SPEAKING”‼️‼️

At the public safety meeting, Ms. McKee, the Public Safety Chair apparently decided she didn’t want to hear from the mayor. Also, the DA was told she wasn’t welcome at the meeting either. 😳 What exactly are they afraid of hearing?

Whether you agree with the mayor, the DA, or anyone else at the table, public officials should have an opportunity to be heard and participate in discussions that directly affect our community. Silencing people simply because we disagree with them is not how productive government or democracy should work.

And when the very people responsible for public safety are being muted or shut out of the conversation, it raises some serious questions about transparency, accountability, and the willingness to work together.

Disagreement is part of democracy. Silencing opposing voices shouldn’t be. Perhaps her judgement is clouded by her son’s recent prison sentence? Perhaps she has a personal beef with our city and country’s top LE officials after her son’s prosecution? Whatever the reason, Troy deserves better

A few weeks ago, an amateur video made its way into our feed in which a potential opponent in next year’s Troy mayoral race said she would like to do for Troy what Mayor Dorcey Applyrs is doing for the City of Albany. 😳😳😳

If you are going to hold up another city’s administration as the model you want to follow, voters deserve to know exactly what that model looks like.

Right now, Albany is confronting a projected $55.5 million budget deficit over the next 16 months, including a projected $22.2 million shortfall for the remainder of 2026 and another $33.3 million in 2027. Albany officials are facing difficult decisions involving spending, staffing, taxes and the city’s long-term financial stability.

Last year, during her campaign for County Executive, this same potential candidate was asked about the county budget and could not provide an answer.

That should concern every Troy taxpayer and make the thought of this person for mayor, frightening!

Running a city is not about slogans, photo opportunities or making vague promises. It requires an understanding of municipal finances, difficult decisions and accountability for every taxpayer dollar. If this is who you aspire to emulate, we should all run now!

Troy deserves a mayor who is prepared to lead on Day One, not someone who needs to learn the budget after taking office.

🚨THIS JUST IN, LISTEN UP!

After just 7.5 months in office, our District 4 council representative and chair of the Public Safety Committee apparently believes she has already become the city’s newest authority on law enforcement.

Despite having zero prior law-enforcement experience and no professional background in public safety, she now seems determined to second guess the people who actually do this work every day including our law-enforcement leadership and the District Attorney.

Now she wants to put herself in the position of deciding whether tools like Flock license-plate readers are appropriate, effectively substituting her own limited experience for the expertise of trained professionals.

YES, if you haven’t figured it out yet, this is the same woman whose son has yet to figure out that selling guns on the streets is illegal! Hmmm, it’s no wonder she has an axe to grind with law enforcement and the county’s chief LEO, our DA

District 4 deserves leadership that listens to law enforcement, respects professional expertise, and puts public safety ahead political theater.
