Thank you to all who responded last night to assist with the severe weather. This includes first responders who acted as storm spotters prior to and during the storm, as well as those who responded to calls for service after. Also, a thank you to Doniphan County Road and Bridge, KDOT, our City Public Works, and our Power Companies personnel for a quick response to get roadways opened back up and power restored. The conditions were difficult to work in, but everyone coordinated as a team to get through it. Thank you all.

NATIONAL POLICE WEEK is May 10 through May 16. This week we want to recognize all Law Enforcement Officers. In 2025 Kansas lost four Law Enforcement Officers to Line of Duty Deaths. This week we honor those individuals who have paid the ultimate sacrifice as well as those who continue to serve. Doniphan County is fortunate to have dedicated professionals who choose to serve and protect our communities. Thank you all for what you do.

Today at noon Doniphan County will be conducting a test of our countywide emergency warning sirens. THIS WILL ONLY BE A TEST! Beginning today the test will routinely occur on the first Wednesday of every month at noon, (as long as the weather cooperates). Our siren system plays a vital role in our community safety efforts, and it is critical that we conduct these tests to ensure that all sirens are working properly. If you have any questions, you can contact the Doniphan County Sheriff's Office. Thank you all for your cooperation.
