Calling all Kindergarten Students!!!

If your child or someone you know will be 5 years old by July 31, 2026, please share this information with them! Kindergarten Registration for students starting school in August 2026 has already started and we have our first Kindergarten event coming up on Thursday, April 23rd from 6-7pm. In order to attend, your child must be registered for Kindergarten, but we don't want our incoming students to miss out! Use the information below to register online today! If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact either the LCR3 Registrar Office at 636-462-4930 or the Claude Brown Elementary Office at 636-462-5078.

Next up is Kindergarten Orientation! At Kindergarten Orientation, students will meet faculty and staff as well as see a classroom, tour the school, and take a short bus ride! This event is just one way we help to welcome our newest and youngest students to LCR3! We can't wait to see you on April 23rd!

It's time to get ready for Kindergarten!

Money Wars is underway at CBE!!! Coins count as positive points for your class and dollar bills are negative points to sabotage other classes. Today was Collection Day #1 and the leaders today earn a movie and pajama party! Congratulations to Mrs. Haungs’s class, Mrs. Weinrich’s class, and Miss Hubbard’s class for leading the way!!! Our next collection day is Thursday. We wonder who the new leaders will be and what prize they will win!!!

Our 2nd Grade students got the pleasure of a Read Aloud from a St. Louis Ambush player yesterday! They were fully engaged and so excited to hear the book, “Whistle for Willie” by Ezra Jack Keats. Students learned about perseverance, never giving up, and how practice, even when you fail, can eventually lead to success! Thank you, James Togbah and Jen Wunder, for making this visit possible!

Last week was National School Counselor Week and we loved sharing our appreciation by spoiling the CBE Counselors throughout the week! Mrs. Painter, Mrs. Matruana, Mr. Jeremiah, and Miss Hannah continually show support to our students! They always listen, guide students, and approach all situations with empathy. Keep the appreciation going by sharing your positive notes of thanks and appreciation in the comments below!

Yesterday was World Read Aloud Day! Dr. Champion visited each grade level to read aloud to students. The message of the story included “you are special” and she discussed confidnece and believing in yourself with students. The underlying message included the actions or comments of others will only “stick” if you let them and they discussed believing in yourself and your special talents as well as choosing not to let any potential negative comments stick to them.

Let’s continue World Read Aloud day long past yesterday! Reading aloud to children is so important and we challenge you to read aloud to your children by the end of the weekend!
